Greetings,
I am pleased to advise you of the favorable decision recently reached by the AKC to grant the Oregon Trail Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club permission to hold Sanctioned Plan “B” Matches.
Our first match will be on Saturday, September 5, at the Emerald Classic Cluster, Lane County Fairgrounds, Eugene. Additional details will be posted on our website Event Calendar. We hope all of you will be able to participate. If you are able to volunteer to assist with the match, please contact Ame Vandehey, our match chairperson at: 503-265-9500 or ameliavandehey@yahoo.com.
The AKC committee also outlined our territory of record to consist of Benton, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Polk, Washington, and Yamhill counties. Current club members outside this territory are still and will remain OTCKCSC members. Future members may reside outside this territory as well.
It has been a lengthy process to accomplish these goals, but I am confident that it was well worth everyone’s time and energy and will add a new and exciting dimension to our club going forward.
